A quick note before I start this one. I’d like to say thanks to Scott, Benny, Michael, and Jareth for letting me babble on about this one before and after the Darwin Day lecture. You were right about [...] I started looking into this topic on a whim, and after reading the growing amount of literature analyzing this issue, I find myself drawing some surprising conclusions. I find those direct-to-consumer (DTC) ads annoying and vacuous. What controlling your cholesterol with prescription medication has to do with picnics with your grandkids and hand-holding on the [...] The anti-vaccination quacks at Age of Autism (AoA) decided that instead of addressing individual refutations from the bloggers coming out of the incredibly successful Scienceblogs, that they’d just launch one big ad hominem attack on the entire site.
